Manaslu Circuit Trek is a delightful prospect for roaming around the world’s eighth highest mountain, Mt. Manaslu. It is an ideal option for the ones who love exploring the gems of Nature and discover the lifestyle and culture of different ethnic groups while at the same time experimenting with adventure and challenges. Passing by the lush bushes, suspension bridges and exploring floras and faunas at Manaslu Conservation Area while getting an insight about the locals; Manaslu Circuit Trek allows us to get familiar with the Manaslu region in a short duration of time.
After you land at Kathmandu, and get all the documents and permits arranged, with an essential briefing about the trek; we will head towards Soti Khola via drive. Then onwards, crossing several suspension bridges and hiking ups and downs via off-the-beaten-track, thru river banks and ridges, enjoying the amazing vistas of the mountains, we continue our journey. Along the way, we will be passing by several villages rich in culture and we will also pay a visit to some of the ancient monasteries including Pungyen Gompa, one of the oldest.
It is important to get proper rest and acclimatization during these kinds of treks. We will be acclimatizing in villages named Samagaun and Samdo. The day we stay at Samagaun, we will hike up to Pungyen Gompa. Whereas, from Samdo we will be reaching out towards the highest point of this trek i.e. Larkya La Pass and climb down back.
To be able to participate in this trek, one should be owning good physical fitness and previous trekking experiences could be an added asset because the trail is really challenging and demanding. To embark on Manaslu Circuit Trek, spring months or autumn months are best picks since it would be the time of blossoming and the weather would be clear which favors vivid sceneries as well.
