Annapurna Region

Situated at north-central Nepal, the Annapurna region is named after the gigantic Annapurna massif. Annapurna I is the highlighted peak of the massif which is also enlisted as the tenth highest peak in the world standing tall at 8,091m. Whereas, it comprises thirteen crests which are above 7,000m and an additional sixteen taller than 6,000m. Besides, there is another enormous massif located at the west of Annapurna, the Dhaulagiri from which Mt. Dhaulagiri I is enlisted as the seventh highest peak in the world at 8,167m. And amid these two immense ridges, flows the deepest gorge in the world viz. Kali Gandaki river valley. So, it is a matter of a fact that trekking to Annapurna region is beyond ordinary treks.
