Back then in 1953, the first Everest Summiteers Sir Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, as well as other trekkers, used this classical route to undertake the Everest region trekking, especially the Everest Base Camp Trek. During your Everest Base Camp Trek, some of the noteworthy villages where you will be staying overnight are Junbesi, Nunthala, Chheplung, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Gorak Shep, Lobuche, and Pheriche. The day you make it all the way to the Everest Base Camp, you will be spending the night at Gorak Shep. Whereas, the highest point you reach during this trek is Kala Patthar which stands tall at 5,545m and is an ideal viewpoint for the picture-perfect panorama of mountain ranges together with Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Amadablam, Pumori, Mt. Thamserku, and other surrounding peaks.
