Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek - 19 days

dhaulagiri circuit trek

Meant for real adventure seekers who love tackling challenges and exploring the unexplored, Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek is a demanding trek around the seventh highest peak in the world, Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m).  The trek including walk thru the off-the-beaten trails, several culturally rich villages, exposing hilly flora and faunas and the wonderful backdrops of mountain ranges. This requires huge courage and technical skills to make it all the way to the base camp of this giant peak. And after encircling the whole massif, it is obvious that it would be an unforgettable experience of a lifetime.

After landing to Kathmandu, we will provide you with guided instruction and briefing regarding the trek and in the meantime, we would also arrange the required documents and permits for the trek. Then we have two options regarding the starting point of this trek but thinking about comfort and to consume less time, we will start the trek with an exciting flight towards Pokhara. Onwards, we will cross several suspension bridges, pass by the lush forests and alpine vegetations, as well as villages exploring the lifestyle and culture and the mind-blowing vistas until we reach the Italian Base Camp at the elevation of 3,600m.

To ensure that there won’t be any health problems due to the altitude, we will set an acclimatization day at the Italian Base Camp, the next day. We will make our way to Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4,600m) via Chhonbardan Glacier Camp and get to the next stage of trekking. In this way, we will explore the hidden gems of the Dhaulagiri region while we embark on Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek. The highest point we land during this trek is French Col at the elevation of 5,360m. And then we will return back to Kathmandu from Pokhara passing through Yak pastures and grazing fields via the routes of Jomsom up to there.

For this challenging and adventure-filled trekking, you must be physically fit enough and previous climbing experience is highly recommended. Whereas, the wise decision regarding the best time would be during autumn or spring months to avoid the risk of heavy rainfall and snowfall since the trail will be more complex and risky because of them. As well as, the vivid vistas can also be expected with certainty during that time-frame. So, get in touch with us and plan this amazing trek in Nepal to make your holidays the best of all.
