Gosaikunda Helambu Trekking in the Langtang region of Nepal is an entire exposing of the hidden gems in this mystical part of Earth. The trek will start as soon as we arrange all the required documents and permits and after a short briefing about the trip. We will drive towards Syabrubesi via Pasang Lhamu Highway and then walking through the lush bushes, spotting flora and faunas, sighting several waterfalls and ridges, paying a visit to several monasteries and temples and the panoramas of mountains; we will reach Gosaikunda holy lakes. Then again we will continue our journey.

The next day we will also get to cross the highest pass during this trek i.e. Lauribina La Pass at an elevation of 4,610m. This rough and steep trail will lead you to the beautiful remote valley of Helambu. It is also a great viewpoint to sight overall sceneries from that height. Then onwards, we will pass by several traditional villages discovering their lifestyle and culture, enjoying the warm hospitality and welcoming of the locals before we finally return back to Kathmandu and give an end to our trek.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m)

  • You will be transferred to your respective hotel by our representative after you arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu and complete the required procedures at the immigration. 

Day 02: Kathmandu  valley Sightseeing Trek Preparation day

  • After your breakfast, a private car and a tour guide will pick you up from the hotel you are staying at.
  • You will be exploring the beautiful and though-provoking ancient UNESCO World Heritage Sites sited in Kathmandu like Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swoyambhunath, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Kathamandu Durbar Square etc. 

Day 03: Kathmandu by bus  to Dhunche (1990m) 145 km  5/6 hrs

  • After breakfast, we will commence our journey towards the Langtang region of Nepal with a long and scenic drive up to Dhunche via zig-zag and windy bona-fide Pasang Lhamu HighwayAlong the way, we can have the beautiful sight of rural settlements, terraced fields, and of course, the mountain panorama to accompany us. 
  • Stay Overnight at the touristic hill town, Dhunche. 

Day 04: Dhunche  trek to Shin Gompa  (3300m) 6/7 hrs

  • From Dhunche, we will commence our Gosaikunda Helambu Trekking experience by trekking towards Shin Gompa which is also recognized as Chandabari and its known as Shin Gompa due to an historic and ancient monastery with the same name. 
  • Stay Overnight at Shin Gompa.

Day 05: Sing Gompa trek to Gosainkunda (4400m)4/5 hrs

  • The main and the most significant destination of this trek, the holy and spiritual Gosaikunda lake is where we are about to make our way today. It is the sacred lake which is praised by and is special pilgrimage site for both the Hindus and the Buddhists. There is a temple of the great lord Shiva – the creator and the destroyer and there’s very interesting myths and legends regarding the Gosaikunda lake that relates with the lord Shiva himself which is why thousands of devotees visit this place just to take a dip in that holy and sacred lake. 
  • Besides, the enthralling vistas of mountain panorama including that of Annapurna Ranges, Langtang, Ganesh Himal ranges and other small surrounding peaks are noteworthy as well. 
  • Stay Overnight at Gosaikunda.

Day 06: Gosainkunda trek to  – Lauribina La Pass (4610m)– Ghopte 6/ 7 hrs

  • After praying early in the morning and with all the holy and spiritual energy from the Gosaikunda Lake, we are about to traverse across the highest elevation of our entire Gosaikunda Helambu Trekking, Lauribina La Pass. This is probably the most longest trekking day on our trip. 
  • As it is very well-known, the beautiful view comes from the highest points, the view of Lauribina La Pass is beyond words. Eye-dazzling sceneries of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal Ranges. Mt. Manaslu and many other surrounding peaks are noteworthy. 
  • After crossing the pass, we will be trekking thru relatively moderate trekking trails, mostly grasslands and small forests before reaching to our final destination for today i.e. Ghopte where we shall be staying overnight.

Day 07: Ghopte  trek to Melamchi Gaon (2550)5/ 6 hrs Via Tharepati

  • We will be entering the Helambu region today from Ghopte making our way via Tharepati pass. En route, we shall be walking thru beautiful bushes enriched with Rhododendron and Pines while the Tharepati Pass can be reached after ascending on a rocky and steep trail. The astounding vistas of Langtang and Ganesh Himal Ranges from the summit of the pass is definitely worth the steep ascend. From the pass, we will head towards Melamchi Gaon.
  • Stay Overnight at Melamchi Gaon.

Day 08: Melamchi Gaon trek to Tarke Ghyang (2740m)4/5 hrs

  • Continuing our journey further, we will walk across the Melamchi river on a suspension bridge and make our way towards the village of Tarke Ghyang past several other small settlements. 
  • Tarke Ghyang is a beautiful Buddhist village where resides the indigenous Sherpa people and we can visit one of the most ancient and biggest monasteries of our journey. 
  • Stay Overnight at Tarke Ghyang.

Day 09: Tarke Ghyang trek  to Shermathang (2590m) 3/4 hrs

  • Moving ahead of the enthralling Sherpa village of Tarke Ghyang, we will walk thru relatively comfortable trails to the settlements of Shermathang via meadows, lush bushes and small rivers. 
  • Shermathang is also very much interesting and beautiful Sherpa settlement like Tarke Ghyang where we can explore some more of Sherpa culture and the Buddhism.
  • Stay Overnight at Shermathang.

Day 10: Sermathang trek to Melamchi bajar (1200 m ) 5/6 hrs Via kakani village

  • To conclude our Gosaikuunda Helambu Trekking, we will descend towards StMelamchi Bazar via Kakani village from Sermathang today. Our journey will be accompanied by lush bushes, grasslands, and several small settlements and of course, the astounding vistas of mountains, hills, terraced fields. 
  • Stay Overnight at Melamchi Bazar.

Day 11: Melamchi drive back to Kathmandu 4/5 hrs Overnight at hotel

  • And now this is the last day of our journey as we shall be returning to Kathmandu city from Melamchi on a scenic bona-fide drive.
  • Stay Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 12: Departure Day
